National cross-media engagement study finds newspaper media have the most engaging content and advertising
A landmark Nielsen study released April 2013, surveyed 5,000 U.S. adult consumers on 11 different metrics for engagement, including trust and ethics and the effectiveness of advertising. The study found newspaper media scored highest of all media on overall engagement. On measures of effectiveness, using metrics such as “usually notice ads” and “likely to purchase,” newspapers consistently scored higher than any other media.
